Vinted ranks the seller, not just the listing

Vinted ranks the seller, not just the listing. Here's the bit nobody teaches.

Two listings, identical title, identical price, identical photos. One ranks higher. The difference is the seller behind it.

Vinted's algorithm reads your profile signals before it reads the listing — your dispatch time, your reply rate, your review average, how recently you were active in chat. New listings from a fast-dispatch, fast-reply seller get a visibility uplift the algorithm doesn't even tell you about. Three things that move the needle and most sellers never check.

One: dispatch in under 48 hours, every time. Two: reply to messages within the day, even a one-line acknowledgement. Three: keep a 4.8+ average — under that and you start sliding.

VintSnap writes the listing. The seller-side signals are still on you. Pair the two and you're competing in a different lane than the casual sellers who only optimise the photos.

every listing is read by two completely different audiences — most sellers write for one and lose the other

the listing was slow, so the sales were slow, so I lost heart — the flywheel that looked like laziness

listing doesn't fail because it's hard — it fails because *starting* is hard (the bag by the door)
